Mabuhay!
The Philippine Academy of Laryngobronchoesophagology and Phoniatrics (PALP) welcomes you all — laryngologists, general otorhinolaryngologists and speech language pathologists — to Manila to join us from December 1-3, 2022. After two long years of cold distant online seminars, conditions have improved enough to finally make it possible to hold the 2nd Congress of the Asia Pacific Laryngology Association (APLA) and the 66th Annual Convention of the Philippine Society of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery face-to face.
Given the diverse socio-economic strata among and within countries in the Asia-Pacific region, the facilities and skill levels for laryngology practice range from the most advanced to the very basic. Therefore, the scope of our topics will be broad, from minimum essentials to the state-of-the-art. Following the lead of the first APLA congress in Singapore in 2019, this second meeting still aims to fulfill APLA’s goals of promoting standards and providing guidelines in order to produce better surgical outcomes for our voice, airway, and swallowing patients.
We thank our esteemed panel of international speakers who have generously agreed to come to join us in person and share their invaluable know-how, personal experiences, and innovative techniques, thereby expanding our perspectives about the wide range and exciting potentials in the field of Laryngology. Here’s to three fruitful days of V.A.S.T. learning and fellowship set in the warm atmosphere of Filipino hospitality and friendliness.
