Message from APLA Founding President,
Dr. Sachin Gandhi

Dear Colleagues,

It gives me immense pleasure to welcome you all to the beautiful island of the Philippines for the 66th Annual Convention of the Philippine Society of Otolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery and 2nd APLA CONGRESS.

APLA takes an overall interest in the development of laryngology by creating a single platform to promote an exchange of knowledge, to meet, discuss clinical practice, and present clinical and basic scientific research. We organized our first Congress in 2019 “FRONTIER IN LARYNGOLOGY” in Singapore, which saw unprecedented participation with more than 350 laryngologists across 35 countries.

APLA’s website offered a continuous medical education in the form of “Quiz” Image-Based Learning, in addition to publishing biannual Journals in the Laryngology field by “Medknow Publication” Which is one of the largest open-access publishers of medical content in the world

With the world going in for a pause for two years since the pandemic. APLA conducted web seminars to deliberate on Covid-specific awareness and guidelines in Laryngology.

2nd APLA Congress is a specially designed cluster conference with the theme “V.A.S.T. EXPERIENCE in ASIA PACIFIC” which covers a rich academic interaction with oration, plenary, symposia, and hands-on training sessions with eminent speakers across the world. There will be award papers and interactive quizzes which will promote participation from P.G students as well as young Laryngologists. APLA is a place where we always are adaptable, motivated, responsive, and focused to develop new ideas.

I look forward to welcoming you to Manila city and to do our best to make your participation a memorable one both socially and scientifically.

 With Best Wishes,

(Signed)

Dr. Sachin Gandhi, M.S. FRCS
